“Currently there are hundreds if not thousands of different projects that a person can contribute to, to help improve our communities. Allah (SWT) created each one of us differently and gave us various abilities to serve Him. However, the one area that I feel is the most important and yet the most neglected is education. Education is the foundation of a civilization; and like the roots of a tree, if the foundation is not solid then the rest of the tree will not be stable. I feel that the area that we must concentrate on the most is educating our children because our children are a trust given to us by Allah (SWT), and we will be held accountable for them.“

“I feel that supporting Northstar School is crucial for the future of our children and grandchildren. We are American Muslims and we need to shape the identity of our children in this country. I feel that there is no better way than to form educational institutions that nurture our children in every sense. I am happy to be a part of this beautiful community.”

“I see the future of Northstar as being a dual-function educational institution; one being Islamic and the other being academic with both standards aiming toward excellence. I believe that students who are benefiting from the resources of Northstar will first and foremost be true believers with a consciousness of their Creator, His Messengers, and His deen while at the same time, be well positioned well academically to go into higher education in well known and respected schools.”

“My wife and I are parents of three Northstar students. We believe that Northstar offers a balanced Islamic and academic education. Supporting this school and having our family be a part of this beautiful community has been life changing for us. Our children do not spend the day in front of the television set, video games or the computer. They don't know and don't care about the brand names. Instead they love to play outdoors creatively, using their imagination as children should.”

I have been part of the Northstar community since 2006 when our son started attending Kindergarten.I have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and am currently pursuing my MS in Engineering at San Jose State University.I am a strong believer in that seeking knowledge and sharing knowledge are both fard and we should all give back as much as possible.I have taken Arabic, Quran, Hadith, Seerah, and other Islamic Studies courses at Zaytuna Institue, and Al Maghrib Institute in the hopes of being able to give back to the youth by tutoring or volunteering. I am very passionate about the future of our children and making sure that they have the necessary tools to be successful not only in this life but in the hereafter. I currently work as a Program Manager at National Semiconductor.I believe my past experience, working for a fortune 500 company as well as startup companies in Silicon Valley, gives me a unique perspective on knowing what it takes to make a small organization, made of dedicated people, overcome obstacles and become successful.
